Project Details:
IISI    (2002)


This was one of my most involved projects ever. For this project I created several different technologies from scratch that were sent in for patents. This projects was all about making accident investigation faster. I build a complete prototype unit from an old van and developed all the hardware and software.

This is an early concept picture. I wasn't the artist but this is entirely my visual concept.

A custom 'beacon' was created that used UV light to create markers for image detection and triangulation. This was actually really amazing to see. You can't tell but each beacon has an ID, for example, 32=Left Front. The lights flicker in a fixed format and in binary code so that camera can automatically read the id.
